Feeling quite nervous as I write this... my very first blog post!
I've always dreamt of having my own creative place online, whether is was a blog or a YouTube channel. But I never had the courage to do it. Instead I'd always make excuses of having a "busy life schedule" (but in fact, I had the fear of keeping up with the commitment of having an online space and facing rejection from the public).
Over the last couple of years in my life, I've pushed myself out of my comfort zone by going back to college and then going university to complete my studies (after my first born started nursery). These experiences have changed me from the "conscious" person I was once before. I've gained a whole lot of self-confidence since then, and being encouraged and inspired by my friends and family, I've finally plucked up the courage of starting up my own blog.
Starting a blog is easy nowadays but starting a blog with purpose is what I really wanted to do. It was only when I got pregnant the second time (after 8 years) I felt like I was starting all over again. I would spend my free time reading online posts by other mums to re-educate myself about pregnancy and childbirth, as I felt I'd forgotten everything from 2011. (Find out more about me here)
Coming across some amazing blogs and pages during my second pregnancy sparked that inner courage to join the "mum blog" community. I know you're probably thinking "there’s loads of insta mums and mum bloggers out there already". But my reason to start this blog isn't to compete or out do the other online mums out there... it's to join the blogging community and join in the fun of sharing the perks of motherhood. It's my personal space to share my experiences, with the hope that it can enlighten others.
I'd love to help another mamma, whether to put a smile on a face or help someone make a choice of purchasing a worthy baby product. There are also times when there is so much to remember when having a baby – so I thought I'd utilize my passion for making lists to help first time mums who are clueless on where to start with packing their hospital bag, to buying baby essentials.
Anyways, that's all for now! Finally I'm starting my blogging journey about something I'm passionate about, and the best part about motherhood is that there is no right or wrong way to do this. And neither there is a perfect way! I've set out to do this my own way and finding out and learning my "best way" as I go!
I really hope you enjoy reading my posts (as much as I enjoy writing them). Please feel free to comment on my posts with feedback or for any blog post topic requests...
